What we are
Pet Care at Door is a UK technology and booking platform. It connects pet owners with independent veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses who come to the owner's home for a consultation, instead of the pet travelling to a clinic.
We are a booking marketplace, not a veterinary practice. We do not employ the professionals listed on the site, and we do not provide veterinary services, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment ourselves. Clinical decisions stay with the professional who attends.
How professionals are checked
Every veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse on the platform must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Before a professional can take bookings we check their registration and their identity documents.
How a home visit works
Owners search by postcode, choose a veterinary surgeon, a veterinary nurse or either, and pick a time from the professional's own availability. Every consultation is a fixed 30-minute slot. The full price for the owner's address, including any travel fee, is shown before the booking is confirmed.
How we make money
We take no commission on consultation fees and add no booking fee for pet owners. Professionals set their own fees and pay a flat monthly subscription instead: £49.90 a month for an individual vet or nurse after their first 5 completed bookings, and £149.90 a month for a practice after its first 10.
